The truth is, I don’t think the answer is simply finding the photographer with the prettiest photos.

Beautiful photos matter, of course. You should absolutely love a photographer’s work before investing in them. But after planning my own wedding and spending years documenting others, I’ve come to believe that the photographs are only part of what makes a wedding photography experience exceptional.

The real difference is how your photographer makes you feel.

Before becoming a wedding photographer, I was a bride myself. When my husband Joel and I got married, I remember being so excited for the big moments: walking down the aisle, saying our vows, and celebrating with our family and friends. But what surprised me most were the moments I didn’t expect to treasure so deeply.

The moments that happened in between all the things we carefully planned.

Those are the memories that stay with me.

Those are the moments I find myself looking for every time I photograph a wedding.

My goal has never been to simply deliver a gallery of beautiful images. I want you to look at your photographs years from now and remember exactly how it felt to be there.

I want you to remember the joy. The excitement. The people. The emotion.

Because at the heart of every wedding are the relationships that brought everyone together in the first place.

One of the most common things I hear from couples is that they’re nervous about being in front of the camera. They tell me they feel awkward, that they don’t know how to pose, or that their fiancé isn’t particularly excited about taking pictures.

Honestly, that’s completely normal.

In fact, some of my favorite client feedback has been from couples who jokingly called me a “posing director.”

When it’s time for portraits, I’ll guide you every step of the way. You never have to wonder what to do with your hands or whether you’re standing correctly. I’ll give you enough direction to feel confident while creating photos that still feel natural and true to your relationship.

But I also know when to step back.

My photography style is a blend of editorial imagery and genuine storytelling. I love creating elegant portraits that feel timeless and refined, but I never want your gallery to feel like a collection of staged moments. I want it to feel like your wedding day.
